Tweety Bird (also known as Tweety Pie or simply Tweety) is a fictional yellow canary in the Warner Bros.Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons. The name "Tweety" is a play on words, as it originally meant "sweetie", along with "tweet" being a typical English Onomatopoeia for the sounds of birds. His characteristics are based on red skelton's famous "Mean Widdle Kid." Tweety appeared in 49 cartoons in the golden age.

10 Job-Interview Mistakes to Avoid

1. Joking around. Don't tell jokes. Don't consider it a fun opening line or ice-breaker. The odds of you offending someone (or even worse telling a bad joke) are too high. Don't do it. If humor is an important part of who you are, find a way to share an interesting anecdote about a work-related event. Not a joke.

2. Using bad words. No matter which interviewer you get and no matter what you know about them, don't swear. Not even the minor words. Besides the obvious risk of offending you someone, you also can look smug and too comfortable.

3. Telling really long stories. You might be incredibly nervous or excited to share something, but don't get caught in the long story trap. Long stories are boring, often off topic, and slow the interview to a terrible crawl.

4. Wearing uninspected clothes. Old twisted ties, blouses that are falling apart at the sleeves, poor fitting shirts. No matter your clothing fault, it sends the wrong message. And yes, the hiring manager notices.

5. Getting too personal. We all have tough times in life. But tough times are personal and should stay private. Whether answering a question about a gap in your resume or explaining why your last boss didn't like you, do everything you can to keep it objective. No emotion and no personal stories.

6. Being a copy cat. The interview preparation expert who suggested many years ago to match the body language of your interviewer was wrong. If you have ever interviewed someone who sat up when you did, leaned back with you and crossed his or her legs in concert, it is a bit creepy. While there is a way to generally match the overall tone of the serious or social job interview, don't do it literally.

7. Can't stop talking. Some people just love to talk. Are you trying to fill up time to avoid more questions? Are you just a social person? Either way, some interviewers don't know how to stop you. So you have to stop yourself.

8. Avoiding details. Sometimes an interviewer will ask the same question three or four times. They do this because job candidates don't answer them. Whether or not it's on purpose, it is frustrating for the interviewer. Often they keep asking because they believe the person has the answer and the candidate just needs some help. And sometimes they just do not want the candidate to blatantly avoid the question.

9. Unwanted hair. Hollywood actors are famous for wearing a thin mustache or goatee. They get away with it because they are famous people preparing for an important part in a new movie. You are not famous, you are not preparing for a movie role, and the facial hair probably doesn't look good on you.

10. Toughing it out. If offered a drink of water, take it. If offered a chance to use the rest room, take it. These are legitimate offers, not cruel tricks to see if you'll bite. You do not look weak by accepting a glass of water.

Simple Things that Make us Happy..

It's the little things in life that give us the greatest moments of happiness, a new survey has revealed.
The researchers found that5 nothing can beat the burst of pleasure you get on at discovering a forgotten 20-pound note in the pocket of an old coat.
The next best thrill is being notified that you've won a prize in a competition which you'd forgotten even entering.
There's a real feeling of relief and happiness when you wake up after a night on the tiles and find you haven't got a trace of a hangover.
Climbing aboard a crowded train and spotting the one spare seat is another uplifting moment, and there is a glow in stepping on the bathroom scales to find you've lost even as little as half a pound.
All these were among the moments of unexpected pleasure picked out in a survey by comparison site MoneySupermarket which looked at the nation's happiness levels as many battle the January blues.
As art of the study, laundrette users were each given 20 pounds and told by staff it had been found in their pocket.
The study revealed all of the "lucky" customers kept the money rather than handing it back. Some of the recipients even made out they knew they had left money in their pockets.
According to those surveyed, among the other moments that perk up life are getting an unexpected refund, saving money on bills, finding money in a supermarket automated till and getting to the till to discover that an item has been marked down.

January can be a tough time for a lot of people, so it's vital to save where you can. It's worthwhile taking the time to see what little triumphs or 'mini-wins' you can achieve by reviewing household bills and everyday spending," the Daily Express quoted Clare Francis of MoneySupermarket as saying.
"Saving money feels great, so people should think about ways they can cut back. The small savings all add up and can make you feel really good at the same time," Francis added.
The little successes that get you jumping for joy are:
Discovering money you didn't know you had or finding 20 pounds in an old coat.
Winning a competition you forgot you entered.
Getting a refund or rebate you didn't know was due.
Saving money on household bills.
Finding a 10-pound winning lottery ticket.
Going to the till at the shops and realising your item has been marked down.
Losing 1/2lb.
Finding money in a supermarket self-service checkout.
Not having a hangover after a big night out.
Getting a seat on the train into work.

I Support Loyola Students...

Eight students of Loyola College, who were on an indefinite hunger strike over the Sri Lankan Tamils issue for the past four days, called off their fast even as solidarity poured in from the student community across the State on Monday evening. Earlier, the city police forcibly shifted the eight students to a hospital early in the morning. As many as 119 of their supporters were also detained from the venue.
Around midnight, two assistant chief medical officers visited the venue and conducted a medical checkup on the eight fasting students — Dileepan (18), Britto (20), Anthony George (20), Ramesh alias Paarvai Dasan (20), Paul Kenneth (20), Manikandan (19), Shanmugapriyan (19) and Leo Stalin (20). According to police, the doctors issued a certificate that the protesting students needed medical management, as the water content in their body was low. Soon, a posse of police arrived and forced themselves past the locked gate at the venue, a private property located on the 100 Feet Road in Koyambedu, around 2 am. They attempted to forcibly take the students to hospital when supporters surrounded the fasting students and a heated argument ensued. But it was not long before the eight students were carried out in stretchers and shifted to Government Royapettah Hospital in six ambulances. In the turn of events, a policeman sustained injuries.
Police arrested 119 supporters at the venue, including students and members of fringe parties, who reportedly surrounded the students to prevent them from being shifted. The arrested persons were kept in a Corporation community hall in Jai Nagar, Arumbakkam, and were released later around 9.30 am. The supporters were dropped back at the venue.
Meanwhile, another argument broke out between some supporters, who allegedly returned after they were released from the community hall, and the police when a woman lawyer alleged harassment by the cops. Senior police officials intervened and sorted out the issue.
Simultaneously during the day, protests erupted in several other colleges in the city, including Dr Ambedkar Law University, who blocked traffic on Greenways Road for about two hours holding placards seeking a stop to the genocide in Sri Lanka and demanding release of the fasting students. Students of Kumararani Meena Muthiah College of Arts and Science also staged a protest in Adyar wearing black badges.

My Favourite Story of Cinderella

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl named Cinderella. She lived with her wicked stepmother and two stepsisters. They treated Cinderella very badly. One day, they were invited for a grand ball in the king’s palace. But Cinderella’s stepmother would not let her go. Cinderella was made to sew new party gowns for her stepmother and stepsisters, and curl their hair. They then went to the ball, leaving Cinderella alone at home.
Cinderella felt very sad and began to cry. Suddenly, a fairy godmother appeared and said, “Don’t cry, Cinderella! I will send you to the ball!” But Cinderella was sad. She said, “I don’t have a gown to wear for the ball!” The fairy godmother waved her magic wand and changed Cinderella’s old clothes into a beautiful new gown! The fairy godmother then touched Cinderella’s feet with the magic wand. And lo! She had beautiful glass slippers! “How will I go to the grand ball?” asked Cinderella. The fairy godmother found six mice playing near a pumpkin, in the kitchen. She touched them with her magic wand and the mice became four shiny black horses and two coachmen and the pumpkin turned into a golden coach. Cinderella was overjoyed and set off for the ball in the coach drawn by the six black horses. Before leaving. the fairy godmother said, “Cinderella, this magic will only last until midnight! You must reach home by then!”

When Cinderella entered the palace, everybody was struck by her beauty. Nobody, not even Cinderella’s stepmother or stepsisters, knew who she really was in her pretty clothes and shoes. The handsome prince also saw her and fell in love with Cinderella. He went to her and asked, “Do you want to dance?” And Cinderella said, “Yes!” The prince danced with her all night and nobody recognized the beautiful dancer. Cinderella was so happy dancing with the prince that she almost forgot what the fairy godmother had said. At the last moment, Cinderella remembered her fairy godmother’s words and she rushed to go home. “Oh! I must go!” she cried and ran out of the palace. One of her glass slippers came off but Cinderella did not turn back for it. She reached home just as the clock struck twelve. Her coach turned back into a pumpkin, the horses into mice and her fine ball gown into rags. Her stepmother and stepsisters reached home shortly after that. They were talking about the beautiful lady who had been dancing with the prince.
The prince had fallen in love with Cinderella and wanted to find out who the beautiful girl was, but he did not even know her name. He found the glass slipper that had come off Cinderella’s foot as she ran home. The prince said, “I will find her. The lady whose foot fits this slipper will be the one I marry!” The next day, the prince and his servants took the glass slipper and went to all the houses in the kingdom. They wanted to find the lady whose feet would fit in the slipper. All the women in the kingdom tried the slipper but it would not fit any of them. Cinderella’s stepsisters also tried on the little glass slipper. They tried to squeeze their feet and push hard into the slipper, but the servant was afraid the slipper would break. Cinderella’s stepmother would not let her try the slipper on, but the prince saw her and said, “Let her also try on the slipper!” The slipper fit her perfectly. The prince recognized her from the ball. He married Cinderella and together they lived happily ever after....
